The Brum bound lot had loads of fun jamming and going through some sketches Friday night. We were very, very poopa noodled – it being the end of the week and all. Most of us played our instruments on sofas or lay on the floor, we were all a bit shy for the first hour too! Awww!
Sam (guitarist) and Gwen (singer songwriter) came along which was kool!
I have uploaded some (very) rough audio – sketches of my song Humanoid – it is going to sound more folky/swing-time, written mainly for ukulele and banjo. We had some lovely slide bass guitar a la Lobby!! Just got to sort the arrangement and claza part etc.
Then Gwen’s song – think it’s called Sign – kind of reggae fueled.
Jammed – it got a bit Latin/Brazilian towards the end, gonna use the chord progression I played on keys for a new song.
It was such a good laugh, props to everyone who came along: Lobby, Mafro, Whitmore, Sam and Gwen!! Watch this space for developments.
Mafro is going to bring a song next time which is going to be very exciting! Woohooo!
